APPLE TV

Supported Apple TV's

We are supported on 4th Gen and 4k Apple TVs running TvOS 14+

You can verify your version of Apple TV by going to this link: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200008.

    Note: Gen 1, 2 or 3 are not supported since no third party apps can be loaded to them.

You may also verify the TvOS version by doing the following:

  • Press “Menu” on the Apple TV remote
  • Scroll to and select “Settings” (Looks like a gear icon)
  • Scroll to and select “System
  • Scroll to and select “Software Updates
  • Select “Update Software

Verify the software version is 14+

Install Great American Pure Flix on an Apple TV
  • Press the "Menu" button on the Apple TV remote
  • Scroll to and select the "App Store" (Looks like a blue box with a white "A")
  • Scroll to and select "Search" (Looks like a magnifying glass)
  • Type "PureFlix"
  • Scroll down and select the Great American Pure Flix app
  • Select "Get" or the Cloud Icon to download the app
  • Once the app has installed, select "Open"
Troubleshoot Great American Pure Flix on an Apple TV

Step 1: Uninstall the App

  • Press “Menu” on the Apple TV remote
  • Navigate to the “PureFlix” App and hover over it but do not select it
  • Press and hold the "Select" button (the scroll pad button) until the app starts to shake
  • Select “Delete
  • Verify by selecting “Delete” again

Step 2: Full Restart

  • Press “Menu” on the Apple TV remote
  • Scroll to and select “Settings” (Looks like a gear icon)
  • Scroll to and select “System
  • Scroll to and select “Restart
  • Allow the Apple TV to do a full reboot

Step 3: Install the App

  • Press the "Menu" button on the Apple TV remote
  • Scroll to and select "App Store" (Looks like a blue box with a white "A")
  • Scroll to and select "Search" (Looks like a magnifying glass)
  • Type "PureFlix"
  • Scroll down and select the Great American Pure Flix app
  • Select "Get" or the Cloud Icon to download the app
  • Once the app has installed, select "Open"

How to turn closed captions on/off
  • Play title
  • Select the circle with the square inside of it in the bottom right hand corner

Note: English=On, Off

How to use

Browse:

  1. Navigate to the top left hand corner
  2. Select "Browse"
  3. Various genres will appear

My List:

  1. Navigate to the top middle
  2. Select "My List"
  3. Titles that you have added to "My List" will appear

Add to/Remove from My List:

  1.  Select title
  2. Next to "Play," select either "Add to My List" or "Remove from My List"

Account:

  1. Select the 'head and shoulders' icon in the top right hand corner
  2. Here you can Sign Out, review the Terms of Sale, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Your Privacy Choices

Sign out:

  1. Select the 'head and shoulders' icon in the top right hand corner
  2. Select "Sign Out"

Search titles:

  1. Select the 'magnifying glass' in the top left hand corner
  2. Select the 'search bar'
  3. A keyboard will appear where you can search titles
  4. Press enter once the desired title is typed

Home:

  1. Navigate to the top left hand corner
  2. Select "Home"
