ANDROID ENABLED SMART TV

Supported Android Enabled Smart TV's

If you have any of the following brands of Android Enabled smart TV, and it is a 2017 model or newer running Android 7.0+, then it is supported for Pure Flix: Sony, Hisense, Sharp, Philips, OnePlus.

You can check your current software version by doing the following:

  1. On your Android enabled TV remote, press the "Home" button
  2. Select "Settings" located at the top right
  3. Select "Device Preferences"
  4. Select "System Upgrade"
  5. Select "Check for Upgrade"
  6. Select it again

Note: If an update is needed, please perform the update.

Install Pure Flix on an Android Enabled Smart TV
  1. Press the “Home” button on the remote
  2. Select "Apps" located on the left hand side
  3. Select "Get more Apps"
  4. Click "Search" located at the top right
  5. Type "Pure Flix"
  6. Click "Search"
  7. Select the "Pure Flix (Android TV)" app
  8. Select "Install"
  9. Confirm with "Continue"

When the Pure Flix app has opened sign in with the email address and password you have associated with your Pure Flix account.

Troubleshoot Android Enabled Smart TV

Step 1: Test Your Internet Connection

  1. Press the “Home” button on the remote
  2. Select "Settings" located at the top right
  3. Select "Network & Internet"
  4. Click "Restart Wifi"

Then

  1. On a Device Connected VIA the same WiFi do the following:
  2. Go to google.com
  3. Search “speedtest
  4. Click “Run Speed Test
  5. Once the test has finished, check that your download speed matches our minimum requirements.

Step 2: Clear the Pure Flix App Cache

  1. Press the “Home” button on the remote
  2. Select "Settings" located at the top right
  3. Select "Apps"
  4. Select "See all apps"
  5. Scroll down and select "Pure Flix"
  6. Select "Force Stop"
  7. Select "Clear Data"

Step 3: Restart Your Android Enabled TV

  1. Point the remote control to the illumination LED and press and hold the POWER button of the remote control for about 5 seconds until a message “Restart” appears.
  2. TV reboots automatically. Wait for approximately one minute, and the TV will turn back on.
    Note: If it does not reboot, press the POWER button on the remote control to turn on the TV.
  3. TV reset operation is complete. Try the Pure Flix app again.

If you are still experiencing issues please follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall your Pure Flix app.

Step 4: Delete and Reinstall the Pure Flix App

  1. Press the "Home" button on the remote
  2. Select "Settings" located at the top right
  3. Select "Apps"
  4. Select "See all apps"
  5. Scroll down and select "Pure Flix"
  6. Select "Uninstall"
  7. Select "Ok", this should uninstall the app
Then
  1. Select the "Home" button again
  2. "Select Apps" located on the left side
  3. Select "Get more Apps"
  4. Select "Search" located at the top right
  5. Type "pure flix" (without spaces)
  6. Select "Search"
  7. Select the "Pure Flix (Android TV)" app
  8. Select "Install"
  9. Confirm with "Continue"
